1. A system for measuring an analyte in a host, comprising:
an on-skin assembly configured to releasably attach with a sensor electronics housing; and a flexible sensor comprising at least one electrode, the flexible sensor comprising:
a flexible in vivo portion adapted for insertion through an exit port of the sensor housing and through an exit site of the host's skin; anda flexible ex vivo portion adapted to remain above the host's skin after sensor insertion and to operably connect to the sensor electronics housing, wherein attachment of the sensor electronics housing to the on-skin assembly causes the ex vivo portion to bend relative to the in vivo portion at an angle of about 90 degrees to maintain a low profile during use.
