PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone device capable of improving coordination between a portable telephone having music player functions and a telephone device connected with a fixed line, and that can be used as an external speaker for music reproduction. ! SOLUTION: A telephone device comprises: a short-range radio communication unit for communicating data with a portable telephone by radio; and a speaker for audibly outputting sound data. The telephone device can remotely operate music reproduction functions of the portable telephone from a location apart from the portable telephone. If an incoming call or call origination to/from the portable telephone occurs during music reproduction, the telephone device automatically switches wireless resources to resources for speech and stops the music reproduction without involving a reproduction stop operation, and makes a smooth transition to a talking state. !
