PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that switching the gradation object of a PDL indiscriminately to job data of gradation information or job data expanded from the gradation information into an image by a computer leads to degradation in image quality or an increase in size.SOLUTION: Provided is an image processing device for generating job data for the image processing device from a drawing instruction written in page description language, the image processing device having expansion means for determining whether or not to expand a gradation object into an image on the basis of the processing load of a gradation object drawing instruction and expanding the gradation object into an image, compression means for compressing the gradation object expanded into the image while switching between reversible compression and irreversible compression in according with the size of the gradation object expanded into the image, and generation means for generating job data by using the image of the gradation object compressed by the compression means. |
