Provided is a piston ring in which both the sealing properties and the strength of the gap portion are well maintained. In a gap portion (3), a side surface (2a) side of a main body (2) comprises a first protruding part (13) that protrudes from one gap end part (11) toward the other gap end part (12), and a first receiving part (14) that receives the first protruding part at the other gap end part. An other side surface (2b) side of the main body comprises a second protruding part (15) that protrudes from the other gap end part toward the first gap end part, and a second receiving part (16) that receives the second protruding part at the first gap end part. The inner peripheral surface (2c) side of the main body (2) comprises a first male part (21) that goes from the second protrusion part toward the second receiving part, and a first female part (22) that receives the first male part at the second receiving part. The outer peripheral surface (2d) side of the main body comprises a second male part (23) that goes from the second receiving part toward the second protrusion part, and a second female part (24) that receives the second male part at the second protrusion part. |
