The present invention provides a dispenser for interfolded napkins, the dispenser (1) having an upper portion and a lower portion, a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. The dispenser (1) comprises a container (2) having a bottom wall (5) extending in a horizontal plane and being arranged at the lower portion of the dispenser (1), and side walls (6) having upper edges and lower edges and extending from the bottom wall (5) in a vertical direction perpendicular thereto and defining a dispensing opening (7) arranged at the upper portion of the dispenser (1) and being opposite to the bottom wall (5), such that the side walls surround a supporting surface (8) for supporting a stack (3) of interfolded napkins (11). The dispenser (1) further comprises a weight (4) arranged between the side walls (6) so as to form a stack-supported lid of the dispenser, wherein the weight (4) defines a dispensing mouth (9) and is movable between an upper position adjacent to the dispensing opening (7) of the container (2), and a lower position adjacent to the supporting surface (8) of the container (2). Moreover, the dispenser (1) comprises a weight control means (15) interconnecting the weight (4) and the container (2), and extending inside the container (2) between a container connection (17) arranged at the lower portion of the dispenser (1) and a weight connection (19) arranged at the upper portion of the dispenser (1). The weight control means (15) restricts the movement of the weight (4) in a vertical direction along the side walls (6) so as to determine the location of the upper position of the weight (4). |
