The purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method for a secondary battery, with which moisture inside a sheath body can be eliminated, even in cases when an electrolyte solution including a halogen-containing compound is provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a production method for a secondary battery provided with a sheath body, an electrode assembly including a negative electrode and a positive electrode, and an electrolyte solution including a supporting salt, a non-aqueous solvent, and a halogen-containing compound, is characterized by being provided with: (1) a step in which the electrode assembly and a first solution including at least the supporting salt and the non-aqueous solvent are disposed inside the sheath body; (2) a step in which the electrode assembly is charged; (3) a step in which gas generated by the charging is discharged from the sheath body; and (4) a step in which, after the gas has been discharged, a second solution including at least the halogen-containing compound is injected into the sheath body. The production method for the secondary battery is further characterized in that: the first solution does not include the halogen-containing compound; and the electrolyte solution comprises the first solution and the second solution. |
