<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of appropriately controlling transmission of flame energy by a transfer charge and capable of maintaining the gas cooling efficiency and the slag collecting efficiency high. <P>SOLUTION: The gas generator 1A includes: a short cylindrical housing sealed in both ends thereof by a bottom plate 11 and a top plate 21; an ignitor 30 fitted to the bottom plate 11; an enhancer cup 40 formed from a bottomed cylindrical single member housing the transfer charge 34 to be ignited by the ignitor 30; and a filter 55 disposed to surround a combustion chamber 50 housing a gas generating agent 51. The enhancer cup 40 has a thin and fragile part 42a and thick and non-fragile parts 42b and 42c in a side wall part 42. A gas injection opening 23 is disposed at a position closer to the top plate 21 than the fragile part 42a, and the fragile part 42a is disposed at a position closer to the bottom plate 11 than an end of a top plate 21 side of the ignitor 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
