<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining a failure of an oil level in an internal combustion engine, which can accurately determine the failure of the oil level irrespective of variation in the oil level. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: performing timing measurement of both normal time and failure time of the oil level based on a detection value of the oil level to temporarily determine whether it is normal or failure at the end of each trip based on a comparison of the normal time with the failure time for the trip; and performing final determination of presence of a failure based on a comparison of the number of times temporarily determined to be normal with the number of times temporarily determined to be failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
