<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the detection of a rotation position by taking an error due to the eccentricity of a rotating body into consideration, without incurring design constraints with regard to the rotating body.SOLUTION: Provided is a rotation detection method for detecting the rotation of a rotor 200 on the basis of a waveform outputted in according with the rotation of the rotor 200 and having a cycle corresponding to the rotation cycle of the rotor 200, the rotation detection method being characterized in that a signal consisting of two waveforms differing in phase, each outputted upon detection of the rotation of the rotor 200 at positions of the rotation angle of the rotor 200 separate by a prescribed angle or more, is acquired, a spectrum corresponding to the rotation angle of the rotor 200 is obtained on the basis of the signal consisting of two waveforms, and the rotation of the rotor 200 is detected on the basis of the obtained spectrum.</p> |
