PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene modified polyethylene-based pre-expanded particle capable of molding expansion particles without adding expansion performance by air compression even for the pre-expanded particle obtained by being formed with using inorganic gas. ! SOLUTION: A styrene modified polyethylene-based pre-expanded particle obtained by polymerization with impregnating 100 pts.wt, of a polyethylene-based resin having the melting point of 110°C to 120°C, meld flow rate of 1.0 g/cm3 or less and density of 0.915 g/cm3 to 0.925 g/cm3, 120 pts.wt. to 500 pts.wt. of a styrene monomer and 3 pts.wt. to 22 pts.wt. of (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester monomer is used. !
