An augmented reality apparatus is provided with: an imaging device (110) for taking an image; a translucent marker (200) having transparency; a detecting device (120) for detecting the translucent marker in the image; a synthesizing device (160) for performing synthesis processing on the basis of the translucent marker in the image; and a removing device (150) for removing the translucent marker from the image by using transmittance of the translucent marker. According to the augmented reality apparatus as described above, the marker can be preferably removed, and it is thus possible to realize extremely high-quality augmented reality. |
