<p>The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a water-resistant uncombustible insulating material using water glass and the insulating material with improved water resistance and uncombustible features manufactured by the same. The method for manufacturing the insulating material of the present invention is eco-friendly by using no harmful material. The insulating material manufactured by the method for manufacturing the insulating material of the present invention obtains excellent water resistance and uncombustible features by using the water glass and specific conditions that silicon (Si) is substituted for zirconium (Zr). In addition, the insulating material is formed into a plate shape, thereby being widely utilized in an architectural field. The method for manufacturing the insulating material includes a step of mixing TEOS and zirconium propoxide with the water glass and stirring the mixture; a step of adding distilled water to the stirred mixture and reacting the mixture while stirring the mixture at a temperature of 100-150°C; a step of obtaining water-resistant water glass after cooling the reactant; a step of mixing the water-resistant water glass with cellulose; and a step of adding titanium oxide to the mixture and mixing the mixture.</p> |
