FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing 1-S-trimethylsilyl-2-(N,N-diethylamino)ethane via silylation of the thiol group in 2-diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride with hexamethyldisilazane in molar ratio of reactants (2-diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride:hexamethyldisilazane) of 3:2 in a chloroform medium.
