The method for operating a redox flow battery comprises: a step of charging a redox flow battery; and a step of recharging the redox flow battery each time the voltage of a unit cell of the charged redox flow battery is reduced to 110 to 90% of the rated voltage in the state where a pump is stopped after the charge.</p>
