Provided are a display device and a driving method thereof. The display device comprises: a display panel in which a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines intersect in a matrix form and a pixel is defined in the intersection point; a data drive unit connected to a plurality of data lines; a gate drive unit connected to a plurality of gate lines; and a timing controller which controls the display panel to be operated in an altered driving method in accordance with an image signal.
