The present invention relates to a solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of improving light conversion efficiency and reducing a current loss by preventing a pyramid structure on the surface of a silicon layer formed by etching the surface of the silicon layer from being collapsed in the following process after a texturing process. For this, the present invention provides the solar cell which includes the silicon layer which includes the pyramid structure formed on the surface thereof by an etching process and an antireflection layer which is deposited on the upper side f the silicon layer and the manufacturing method thereof. The outer surface of the antireflection layer has a rolling shape with a gentle incline.
