PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting display apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same, capable of preventing recognizable bubbles from being generated in an encapsulation structure under an environment of high temperature and high humidity.SOLUTION: An organic light emitting display apparatus includes: a TFT substrate 100 including a thin film transistor; an organic light emitting element 200 on the TFT substrate; a passivation layer 300 formed on the TFT substrate and the organic light emitting element so as to cover the organic light emitting element; a viscoelastic layer 400 formed on the TFT substrate and the passivation layer so as to cover the passivation layer; and an encapsulation film 500 on the viscoelastic layer. The viscoelastic layer is formed of a viscoelastic body having an elastic portion of 30% or more.
