Disclosed is a container (10) for isolating a first liquid (90) and a second liquid (92) prior to dispensing; a method of assembling a container (10) and a method of dispensing a first liquid (90) and a second liquid (92) from a container (10). Concentrated liquids can be used to decrease the size of packaging but the shelf life may be reduced due to certain components in the concentrated liquid. Current containers which isolate two liquids from each other only do so until the container is first used to dispense and then the liquids are permanently mixed. The container (10) comprises an enclosed body (12); a first exit flow path; an insert (30); a second exit flow path and a valve member (50). The enclosed body (12) contains the first liquid (90) and includes an opening. The first exit flow path dispenses the first liquid (90) from the body (12). The insert (30) contains the second liquid (92) and is at least partially received within the body (12) to isolate the first (90) and second (92) liquids. The second exit flow path dispenses the second liquid (92) from the insert (30). The valve member (50) is moveable from a closed position to an open position. When in the closed position, the valve member (50) blocks both the first and second exit flow paths, and isolates the first (90) and second (92) liquids upstream of the valve member (50). In the open position, the first (90) and second (92) liquids are permitted to flow through both the first and second exit flow paths to dispense the first (90) and second (92) liquids from the container (10). |
