<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide replacement parts to be used in common by multiple models of image forming apparatuses, the parts being managed in stock and to be shipped together with the image forming apparatuses.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a container mounting section having a storage element storing the model of the image forming apparatus, and allowing a toner container with toner stored therein to be detachably mounted; an image forming section which is supplied with toner from the toner container and forms an image with the toner on a recording material; an element information storage section which stores element information specifying each of storage elements; and a control section which prohibits the toner stored in the toner container from being supplied to the image forming section when both coincidence between the storage element of the toner container mounted on the container mounting section and a storage element specified by the element information stored in the element information storage section, and coincidence between the model stored in the storage element of the toner container and the model of the image forming apparatus are not established.</p> |
