<p>A cylinder (20) of this high-pressure pump has a suction communication hole (23) through which fuel is sucked into a pressurizing chamber (22) and a discharge communication hole (24) through which the fuel is discharged from the pressurizing chamber (22), the suction communication hole and the discharge communication hole being formed in the radial direction. A positioning part (271) that is engageable with a reception tool (91) at a specific angle in the circumferential direction is provided in a lower end part (26), which is an end part of the cylinder on the opposite side from the pressurizing chamber (22) in the axial direction. With this construction, in a shrink fitting step, the positioning part (271) in the lower end part (26) can be engaged with a reception hole (92), and the cylinder (20) can be inserted into a cylinder insertion hole (11) in a pump body (10) in a state where the cylinder (20) is positioned with respect to the reception tool (91) in the circumferential direction. Thus, the suction communication hole (23) and the discharge communication hole (24) can be positioned accurately in the circumferential direction with respect to an introduction hole (160) and an emission hole (180) in the pump body (10).</p> |
