A video signal transmission device, a playing system, and a video signal transmission method. The video signal transmission device comprises: a first interface, used for being connected to a video signal source; a second interface, used for being connected to a display apparatus; and a signal receiving unit and a control unit both disposed between the first interface and the second interface. The control unit is connected to the display apparatus by means of the second interface. The signal receiving unit is connected to the video signal source by means of the first interface. The control unit comprises an acquiring module used for acquiring parameter information of the display apparatus and feeding back the parameter information to the signal receiving unit, the parameter information comprising a video format supported by the display apparatus. The signal receiving unit comprises a conversion module used for converting, according to the parameter information, a received video signal into the video format supported by the display apparatus. Plug-and-play can be implemented, and the problem is avoided that output cannot be performed or display configuration is disordered and a system needs to be restarted due to hot plugging of the system or due to the fact that the system is not connected to a display device.
