An apparatus for controlling crosswalk guidance is provided to display a proper stop guiding signal for a driver to safely stop according to the speed of the vehicle, and to protect a pedestrian even if he or she crosses the street at a crosswalk against the signal. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a vehicle speed sensor which is installed at a crosswalk, controls a crosswalk signal device that creates a crosswalk signal, detects the speed of a vehicle approaching the crosswalk, and outputs a pertinent signal; a stop signal output device which outputs a vehicle stop signal; and a controller which controls the stop signal output device and a guiding signal display device on the basis of the signal from the vehicle speed sensor. The controller controls the stop signal output device to let the device output a stop guiding signal which changes according to the speed of the vehicle approaching the crosswalk. |
