摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship propulsion machine in which a temperature difference between lubricating oil when output of an engine is high and the lubrication oil when the output is low can be reduced.SOLUTION: A ship propulsion machine 2 includes a water pump 31 which is driven by an engine 9 and supplies water from a water intake 28 to the engine 9 through a cooling water supply passage 30 by the operation of the pump. The ship propulsion machine 2 further includes an auxiliary cooling passage 67 branching from the cooling water supply passage 30 and extending to an oil pan 61. A water pressure control valve 68 disposed in a branch position to the auxiliary passage 67 from the cooling water supply passage 30 restricts a flow rate of the water flowing through the auxiliary cooling passage 67 when a water pressure inside the cooling water supply passage 30 is less than a set pressure. When the water pressure is the set pressure or higher, the water pressure control valve 68 makes a part of the water inside the cooling water supply passage 30 flow into the auxiliary cooling passage 67, and supplies the water to the oil pan 61 through the auxiliary cooling passage 67 while maintaining the water pressure at the set pressure or less.
