PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix converter and a method for compensating an output voltage error, capable of suppressing an output voltage error with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A matrix converter 1 includes a control information generator 22, a commutation controller 23, a storage 20 and an error compensator 24. The control information generator generates control information to control bidirectional switches. The commutation controller individually controls switch elements on the basis of the control information. The storage stores at least one setting information set among a commutation control method, a power conversion modulation method and a carrier wave frequency. The error compensator performs error correction of an output voltage on the basis of the setting information. |
