The present disclosure provides methods for charging portable power-consuming devices using a charging device with an internal battery that can be connected to a source of hydrogen gas or a power input. The present disclosure also provides for methods of generating power from a source of hydrogen gas and delivering the generated power to power-consuming devices. Also provided are apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure.
