<p>The invention relates to a thin-film solar cell produced by depositing a front electrode (3), a photoactive element (2) and a rear electrode (1) on a transparent substrate (4). A periodic network of nanometer-scale cavities is etched in the surface of the front electrode (3) by means of laser interferometry and said cavities are filled with a semiconductor material of the photoactive element (2). The cavity network acts as a photonic crystal, simultaneously improving the trapping of incident light and the quantum efficiency of the device.</p> |
