PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that allows an operator to perform maintenance and inspection safely and easily, and its inspection and maintenance method.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a battery module (30-1) includes a plurality of batteries and a battery monitoring unit (30: CMU). A module series circuit is formed by serially connecting a plurality of battery modules. A current sensor (41), a service disconnector (42C), and switching circuits (41A, 41B) are connected to the module series circuit. A battery management device (44: BMU) performs intercommunication with the battery monitoring unit (30), determination of output of the current sensor, and control of the switching circuits, and includes switching means for performing switching between a normal mode and a maintenance mode. A gateway control device (60) performs intercommunication with the battery management device. In addition, the battery management device is configured to be activated by a power supply control signal from the gateway control device when it is activated in the normal mode, and by a maintenance power supply signal independent from the power supply signal when activated in the maintenance mode. |
