Disclosed is a fuel cell stack having separators with various cross-sectional areas of flow channels. The disclosed fuel cell stack comprises a plurality of stacked cells. Each cell includes a separator in which a plurality of flow channels, disposed on both sides of a membrane-electrode assembly to supply hydrogen or air, are formed. The fuel cell stack may include at least two different types of separators which have a different sum of cross-sectional areas of the flow channels.
