According to the present invention, a heat pump system alternately selects and uses at least a portion of a plurality of outdoor heat exchange flow paths passing through an outdoor heat exchanger as a flow path for defrosting and uses the remaining flow paths as a flow path for evaporation, thereby performing a defrosting operation and a heating operation at the same time. Moreover, the heat pump system provides a simple structure and is capable of performing both the heating and defrosting operations by reusing a refrigerant for an evaporation process after throttling the refrigerant which has gone through a defrosting process while passing through the outdoor heat exchanger.
