PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect whether driving force has been transmitted from a motor to a fixing unit reliably.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a fixing unit 120 which heats a moving medium to fix a developer image on the medium; a motor 150 which provides the fixing unit 120 with driving force for moving the medium; and a main CPU 131 which determines whether the driving force provided by the motor 150 has been transmitted to the fixing unit 120. |
