<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support system and an operation support method for enabling an operator to safely and accurately perform a recovery operation without depending on knowledge or experience when abnormality occurs in production equipment or the like.SOLUTION: An operation support system includes: abnormality detection means for detecting the abnormality of equipment; portable terminal equipment 5 having a display part for, when the abnormality of the equipment is detected by the abnormality detection means, displaying the abnormality content; and an information storage device 6 for, when the abnormality of the equipment is detected by the abnormality detection means, transmitting the abnormality factor specification procedure of the equipment in which the abnormality has occurred to the terminal equipment. In a state that the abnormality factor specification procedure is transmitted from the information storage device to the terminal equipment, an instruction signal from the information storage device is input to the terminal equipment in accordance with an operation to an input part 3 of the terminal equipment following the abnormality factor specification procedure, and only when it is determined that a recovery operation is possible by determination means, the recovery method of the abnormality is displayed by a display part 4 of the terminal equipment.</p> |
