<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting confirmation structure for a terminal, the structure enables a user to confirm the fitting of a terminal in a housing with less steps, capable of surely guiding the terminal into the housing to securely lock it to a locking lance. <P>SOLUTION: A fitting confirmation structure for a terminal is provided, the structure has a pin 5 for confirming the fitting of a terminal, the pin penetrating a terminal accommodating room 7 in an insulating housing 1 and a box-shaped part 9 of a terminal 8. The pin has a claw part 6 at its front end. With the claw part locked to an end part 10a that is positioned in the pin penetrating direction of the box-shaped part, the terminal is inserted into and locked to the terminal accommodating room in the direction opposite to the pin penetrating direction. While pressing the claw part in the unlocking direction by a flexible locking lance 31 in the terminal accommodating room, the pin can be pulled out in the terminal inserting direction by locking the locking lance to the end part of the box-shaped part. The pin 5 has a step portion 16 at lengthwise intermediate position, and a pin portion 5a, that is a portion from the step portion to the claw part 6, is arranged eccentrically in the direction to the end part side inner surface 10b of the box-shaped part 9. A pair of contact ribs 20 for the mating terminal are provided at the inner surface 10b of the box-shaped part 9, and the pin 5 is penetrated between the pair of contact ribs into the box-shaped part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
