PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-equalization optical transmitter capable of achieving reductions in circuit size, power consumption and cost by creating a RZ optical pre-equalization signal without using an additional circuit for analog processing.SOLUTION: The pre-equalization optical transmitter includes: FIR filters 1-4 that are arranged in parallel to each other to create a pre-equalization signal; D/A converters 5-8 each of which converts the pre-equalization signal into an analog signal; selectors 9, 10 each of which converts a parallel signal into a serial signal accommodated into one symbol length; a light source 13; and an optical modulator 14 that modulates the light from the light source 13 into an optical signal, based on the serial signal. |
