PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation circuit that allows reducing the possibility of destruction of an electronic element such as a variable capacitance element during a test such as an overdrive test or a drive level test, and to provide an oscillator, a method of manufacturing the oscillator, an electronic apparatus, and a moving body.SOLUTION: An oscillation circuit 2 includes: an XO terminal connected to one end of a vibrator 3; an XI terminal connected to the other end of the vibrator 3; an oscillation section 10 electrically connected to the XO terminal and the XI terminal; a control-voltage generation circuit 20; and a switch 13. The oscillation section 10 includes a variable capacitance element 16 having one end connected to the XO terminal or the XI terminal. The switch 13 controls electrical connection between the other end of the variable capacitance element 16 and an output terminal of the control-voltage generation circuit 20.
