<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitted fabric capable of realizing superior quick drying property and reducing sticky feeling to the skin when absorbing sweat, without impairing water and moisture absorbing property and soft feeling due to cellulosic staple fibers.SOLUTION: A knitted fabric is knitted with only two-layered structure spun yarn comprising polyester staple fibers as a core and cellulosic staple fibers as a sheath. The cellulosic staple fiber as the sheath is any of a solvent-spun cellulose fiber having a single fiber fineness of 0.6 dtex or more and less than 1.0 dtex or ultra-long cotton. The polyester staple fiber as the core has a single fiber fineness of less than 1.0 dtex. The constituent ratio of the core/the sheath of the two-layered structure spun yarn is from 20/80 to 40/60. A water-repellent agent is applied to the back surface of the knitted fabric at an area ratio of 40 to 70%. A water-repellent portion is produced by applying the water-repellent agent onto the back surface of the knitted fabric. The water-repellent agent is applied discontinuously with spaces onto the back surface of the knitted fabric. Non-water-repellent portion free of the water-repellent agent continues on the whole back surface of the knitted fabric without being interrupted by the water-repellent portion.</p> |
