The present invention relates to a method for an intermediate of iopromide, and more specifically, to a method for an intermediate of iopromide, which has high yield due to using a small amount of a solvent in short reaction time by mufacturing 5-methoxyacetylamino-2,4,6-triiodoisophtanlic acid dichloride using 1,4-dioxane as a reaction solvent, and reacting the same with 3-amino-1,2-propanediol by using a mixing solvent of 1,4-dioxane or tetrahydrofuran (THF) and isopropanol.
