<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for forming a silica based transparent coating film which forms the transparent coating film having excellent light transmissivity and a film thickness having excellent surface flatness with the small number of times without causing a crack. <P>SOLUTION: The coating liquid contains a silicon compound which is obtained by reacting silica based fine particles and an organic silicon compound in a water-alcohol solvent by using a basic catalyst component and then replacing the solvent with an organic dispersion medium. The coating liquid has a solid content concentration of 30 to 70 wt.% and a concentration of the basic catalyst component in the organic dispersion medium of 10 ppm or below. The silica based fine particles are obtained by hydrolysis and polycondensation of an alkoxy silane in a water-alcohol solvent and the organic silicon compound is selected from among an alkoxy silane and its partial hydrolyzate, and a halogenated silane and its hydrolyzate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
