<p>This workpiece supporting device supports a workpiece in an elevated position by way of two folding parallel linking mechanisms (3L, 3R) that couple a workpiece supporting table and a base. The folding parallel linking mechanisms comprise: a pair of first double links (9a, 9b) that are disposed in parallel so that support shafts are positioned concentrically; and an intermediate linking member (27a, 27b) that mutually links one second double link (10) that is disposed in a position corresponding to the middle of the pair of first double links and intermediate support shafts (21, 26) of the double links; wherein the pair of first double links have an abutment face (12d) that, when the folding parallel linking mechanisms are locked, by way of a locking means (34), with the workpiece in an elevated position, couples, by being in mutual contact, the bottom of an upper linking member (13) and the top of a lower linking member (14) in the vertical direction and prevents both folding parallel linking mechanisms from swinging parallel to a base (2a) without causing undulating motion.</p> |
