A sheet having a colloid-silver halide layer is exposed to an original and tan-developed to produce non-hardened areas corresponding to the desired image areas of the original using various exposure schemes as with the original, which may be a negative, laterally reversed; reflex procedure and Herschal or lens exposure, the sheet is pressed on to a master sheet blank to transfer the non- hardened areas thereto and the blank is pressed on to a transfer sheet at higher than ambient temperature to transfer hectographic or lithographic material to this, and so produce a printing sheet. The sheet base may be resistant to moisture, e.g. a metal foil, and may carry a hydrophilic lithographite layer, or may be paper or transparent synthetic plastic material. |
