<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition, particularly an inkjet ink composition, with which printing can be carried out not only on an absorbent base material such as paper but also on a nonabsorbent base material, which achieves excellent durability of printed matter, and exhibits good printing stability performance, and which uses a pigment. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition includes at least a pigment, water, a water-soluble organic solvent having a higher boiling point than water, and a binder resin.
