<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical seal suitable for downsizing while can favorably seal a high-temperature, high-pressure fluid to be sealed. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanical seal includes a rotary ring (20) which is installed on a rotary shaft (80) to rotate integrally therewith, a geostationary ring (12) which is disposed to be opposite to the rotary ring from outside the mechanical seal and slides on the rotary ring to form a sliding surface, a seal case (50) which movably supports the geostationary ring in the shaft direction of the rotary shaft, a current generating member (70a) which generates a current of a fluid moving toward inside the mechanical seal, a rectification member (30) which is located between the current generating member and the sliding surface when viewed from the radial direction of the rotary shaft and which is extended at least from the current generating member to the sliding surface when viewed from the same shaft direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
