In a sieve drum drier, the normal individual fan casings are omitted and the upper and lower radial fans 1, 2 associated with the individual drums (not shown) are mounted in a common fan chamber with fins 6 in the interstices between two or more adjacent fans. Several embodiments are disclosed, e.g. a three-part stellate fin in Fig. 3 (not shown) wherein the fans in the upper group rotate in the same direction and those in the lower group rotate in mutually opposite directions, and plane fins mounted between adjacent upper and lower fans, Fig. 4 (not shown) wherein the fans of one group and those of the other group rotate in opposite directions.
