The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating autoimmune diseases using metformin and statin. The composition which contains active components of metformin and statin effectively controls the formation of inflammatory cytokine, controls antibody production of B cells or reduces the vitality thereof, controls the differentiation of osteoclast and destruction of joints, and has a high control effect on foam cell formation which produces Artherosclerotic plaque precursor cells.
