FREQUENCY SELECTING DEVICE AND FREQUENCY SELECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a use frequency band so as to perform frequency utilization efficient communication.SOLUTION: A detection unit 21 of a frequency selecting device 2 performs carrier sense and detects vacant frequency bands. A bandwidth calculation unit 22 calculates bandwidth of consecutive vacant frequency bands in which vacant frequency bands detected by the detection unit 21 are continuous. A use frequency selecting unit 23 increases priority of the consecutive vacant frequency bands if the bandwidth calculated by the bandwidth calculation unit 22 is smaller or larger, and selects a frequency band used for communication in the order of a frequency band included in the consecutive vacant frequency bands with higher priority.
