PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct optical system vehicular headlamp which does not damage designability and which can form a broad irradiation region above.SOLUTION: A direct type vehicular headlamp 1 includes a projection lens 12 and a semiconductor light source 11, and forms a high-beam light distribution pattern H by emitting direct light from the semiconductor light source 11 to the front of the lamp as parallel light L1 by the projection lens 12. On an incident surface 22 of the projection lens 12, a reference surface 23 and a light control surface 24 which is further inclined frontward than the reference surface 23 below the reference surface 23 are provided. The reference surface 23 has a shape which allows the direct light from the semiconductor light source 11 passing through the reference surface 23 and an emission surface 21 to be substantially parallel light L1. The light control surface 24 has a shape which allows the direct light from the semiconductor light source 11 passing through the light control surface 24 and the emission surface 21 to be emitted to the upper part of the high-beam light distribution pattern H. |
