<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output LED-emanated illumination light for properly indicating a readable range of a light-receiving sensor, even when a light-emitting element for illumination is arranged on one side of the light-receiving sensor.SOLUTION: A bar code reader 10 is an optical information reader for reading information indicated in a code having optical reflectance different from that of its periphery. The bar code reader 10 comprises: a linear sensor 11 which is a light-receiving sensor; an imaging lens 12 for imaging light on the linear sensor 11; an LED 21 which is a light-emitting element; a projection lens 24 for projecting light emanated from the LED 21; and a first opening section 22b and a second opening section 23b that are parting sections for defining a projection range of the light emanated from the LED 21, and that block light whose center position deviates from an optical axis 24a position of the projection lens 24 to an optical axis 12a side of the imaging lens 12 and is outside of a predetermined range, out of the light emanated from the LED 21.</p> |
