<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an accurate focusing position by improving focus detection accuracy with respect to each of objects in a perspective conflict.SOLUTION: A range-finding area determination part 110 sets a first range-finding area range for performing focus detection with respect to an image, and a range-finding area division part 113 sets another second range-finding area range in the first range-finding area range. A focus detection evaluation part 114 allows a focus lens 103 to move along the optical axis of an imaging optical system, and calculates contrast components in images in the first and second range-finding area ranges as first and second focus evaluation values. A focus determination part 115 calculates a difference between the first and second focus evaluation values as a first difference focus evaluation value, and calculates the focusing position of the focus lens about each object in accordance with the second focus evaluation value and the first difference focus evaluation value.</p> |
