DICTYOSTATIN PRODRUGS AND METHODS OF THEIR USE

Dictyostatin derivatives and prodrugs, as CNS-active MT-stabilizing agents are disclosed as alternative and potentially improved clinica candidates for the treatment of cancer in a subject, and methods of treating diseases using them, are described. Specifically prodrugs are disclosed wherein one or more of the hydroxyl groups of dictyostatin are derivatized with an alkyl, acyl or a HP(O)(OH)2, as therapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer.
