<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for testing light blocking performance of a particle beam detector. The present invention provides a means, which eliminates breakage of a light detector due to excessively intensive input light in a light blocking test of a particle detector that constitutes a structure inner state analytical apparatus, and which completes the test in a short time. The present invention increases illuminating light power in stages, and radiates light at a maximum intensity within a range not inducing breakage of the light detector, thereby making shortest a time to radiate, to a subject to be tested, a number of photons needed to calculate an evaluation index. The present invention is capable of detecting a breakage in a short time when there is a breakage in a light blocking unit that covers the whole scintillator and photomultiplier tube.</p> |
