<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil inspection method and apparatus capable of enhancing the efficiency of work of inspecting the resistance value and insulating properties of a coil. <P>SOLUTION: At least one of both ends of the coil 30 is pinched with an inspection tool 1 to turn half-cut, the inspection tool 1 is electrically connected to a measuring instrument 12 to pass current through the coil 30, and electrical characteristics of the coil are measured.
